BQCC C&SE

We are working with communities and industry groups in a whole-of-community approach to controlling fire ants. In 2021, our fire ant treatment projects include:

  • educational facilities

  • sport and recreational fields

  • primary producers inside our eradication treatment area

  • waste management facilities

  • communities in Calamvale

  • communities in some parts of the Gold Coast.

  • communities on Tamborine Mountain

You may have been invited or encouraged to take part in one of the above projects. If you are unsure if you are part of a project, or would like to find out if you can join a project, please call 13 25 23 and ask to speak to the ‘self-management team’ or email fireants@daf.qld.gov.au.
